The Col de la Platriere is on the southern side of the Col d’Izoard. It is barely noticeable as a col and is located on the Casse Deserte car park a couple of miles down from the top of the Izoard. The car park is always busy which is understandable because it serves as a lookout point and the panorama is stunning.
