As 2014 marked the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War we decided that this year it would be appropriate to visit the Western Front and pay our respects to those whose sacrifices have materially improved our lives today. Phil had been informed that there were three areas in which the fighting was most concentrated; the Somme, Verdun and Ypres. We settled on Ypres.
Unfortunately Gaz couldn’t make it this year which meant we were down to a quartet so for our ninth tour it would be Phil Ducati Diavel, Taj Kawasaki Z1000SX, Kyle Kawasaki Versys 650 and Cat BMW K1300S HP. Our 9 day trip would see us ride 9 different mountain passes and roads, and cover 2,100 miles.
