The D417 from Wintzenheim - near Colmar - to Gerardmer in the heart of the Vosges Mountains takes you over this Col. Not high but a very pleasant road which winds its way up through the forest. A good biking road but this is a very popular holiday area so expect lots of campervans on the wrong side of the road.
