The D902/D2202 connects Barcelonnette in the department of Alpes de Haute Provence with St. Martin d’Entraunes in the department of Alpes Maritime, and crosses this Col which lies parallel to Col de la Bonette and Col d’Allos. It's a fantastic bikers road on the way up the southern ramp to the top of the Col where you pass the source of the River Var. On the northern ramp the road is much narrower - mostly single track - but the scenery is stunning as the road runs down a gorge through which the River Bachelard runs down to Barcelonnette.
